Kathryn Parker is a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to helping children, families and adults as they work through life’s challenges.  She focuses her practice on helping clients find resolution and personal growth.

During nearly 30 years in the practice of counseling, Kathy has enjoyed working with people dealing with a broad range of concerns, and believes that each person deserves to be heard and understood.  Her approach to those she works with is to give them the tools and encouragement they need to create their own successful outcome. She has extensive experience in both play therapy and traditional settings.

Kathy has experience working in public schools as a teacher and as a counselor, in hospital settings with families and adolescents in crisis, and in private practice.  She holds a Bachelors Degree in Education from Texas Tech University and a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas.

Kathy has been married to her husband, Dale, since 1981, and together they have raised two wonderful children, having just recently become retired “band parents”.  They now share their home with their beloved rescue dog, Norman, who reminds them daily what unconditional love looks like.  Kathy enjoys many types of music, cooking, gardening and quiet walks with friends.
